MCM is a disciplined and conservative investment advisor. We invest in businesses with successful pasts and promising futures. We do extensive research, and impose demanding financial criteria on companies we select.

We use a proprietary process to identify midsize and large capitalization growth companies. We expect to own them for a long time. We monitor their performance closely, to make sure they are meeting our expectations.

Fixed Income Investment Strategy

We view fixed-income investments as the stabilizing component of a balanced portfolio. We employ a conservative strategy utilizing investment grade intermediate term government and corporate securities. Clients earn close to the same return as long-term bonds, with much less volatility.

Asset Allocation

We help each client determine his or her own investment objectives and risk tolerance. When situations change, we then rebalance the proportions of stocks and bonds in each portfolio to reflect these factors. 

Our investment approach maximizes long-term capital gains in the portfolio. When gains are realized they are taxed at the generally lower long-term capital gains tax rate. To achieve an income objective we generally use tax-exempt bonds from the client's home state. The combination of these two policies creates a highly tax efficient portfolio.

We provide written quarterly reports to all our clients, and consult as often as they wish. Our reports show returns after fees, and a detailed analysis of the portfolio's total return since inception.

We work with our clients' accountants and attorneys as required, at no additional cost, to provide complete information for tax and estate planning purposes.

We have a wealth of experience in working with pension and retirement plans and charitable foundations. We work closely with the trustees to smooth cash flow and anticipate cash needs.
